WELCOME to the presentation of UNFCCC Montenegro!

Montenegro ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) by succession in 2006, thus becoming a member of the Convention as a Non-Annex Party on 27 January 2007. The Kyoto Protocol was ratified on 27 March 2007 (the Ratification Law was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic Montenegro 17/07), so that Montenegro became its member as an Annex B country on 2 September 2007. Having ratified the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol, Montenegro joined the countries that share concerns and play an active role in international efforts to identify the solutions to the problems of climate change.
